Southern African practitioners in all aspects of the asphalt sector are encouraged to become members of SAT. Members are categorised according to age and experience as Student, Associate, Member (MSAT) or Retired members. Senior members may be promoted to the level of Fellows of the Society and Honorary members are appointed at the discretion of the National Council.
Members include students, laboratory testers and supervisors, asphalt plant supervisors and operators, asphalt technologists, oil company marketing managers, aggregate supply managers, civil engineers, contractors, consulting engineers, state officials, commercial directors, academics, and others who have an interest in asphalt technology.
