SAT EASTERN REGION HYBRID EVENT – WED 17 AUGUST 2022 – 12h30 to 16h00
The current condition of our road network begs the question “Are we looking at all the factors that affect the condition of our networks and are we doing enough in terms of maintenance strategies, planning and implementation to preserve our precious road assets?”
Reminding ourselves of best practice, current standards and methodologies is not enough to ensure our networks remain intact, structurally sound and safe to users but we also need to look at innovation, exterior influences such as climate change and maintenance programs that truly extend pavement life.
Based on our own experiences in the Eastern Region, particularly within the eThekwini Municipality region we have come to realise that maybe the “status quo” of road maintenance is not sufficient to keep our networks in an acceptable condition. The recent heavy floods are testament to this fact.
SAT-Eastern Region is pleased to invite you to attend this Seminar. The seminar intends to expose the delegates to some of the existing best practices in Road Maintenance across the entire chain of services from evaluation and planning to the implementation and monitoring phase. We also hope to highlight what external factors we might consider to prevent future disasters.
This workshop has been registered with ECSA for CPD accreditation. CPD Certificate Number to be advised.
