In-Person – Caught Between Two Specs: The Asphalt Industry in Transition Seminar & SAT Central AGM
IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE FOR THIS EVENT IS FULL.
You can still register for ONLINE attendance: click here.
As Performance Grade (PG) materials become the benchmark, many projects continue to operate under a combination of legacy and performance-based specifications. The result? Uncertainty, increased compliance risk, and pavements that don’t always perform as intended.
This seminar will take a clear, practical look at what happens when two specification systems collide, and how to avoid the costly consequences. If you’ve ever wondered “Which spec applies here?”, “Are we testing the right thing?”, or “Why doesn’t this mix behave the way we expected?” then this session is for you.
With quality remaining a central focus, the event will explore how misalignment between specifications, testing methods, and contractual requirements can lead to inconsistency, non-compliance, and ultimately compromised pavement performance.
The presentations will be followed by a short 20-minute SAT Central Region AGM (hybrid). In-person attendees can then enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Specialised Testing Laboratory (please wear safety shoes), followed by refreshments and relaxed networking with colleagues.
Spaces are limited to 50 people for in-person attendance. All spots are filled.
